Senior HVAC Service Technician (Up to $100K / $50hr)

Senior HVAC Service Technician (Top Pay, No Micromanaging)

“If you’re the one other techs call when they’re stuck, this is built for you.”

We’re not looking for average service techs.

We’re building a team of high-level problem solvers who can walk into complex systems, diagnose what others missed, and fix it right the first time. The kind of tech who takes pride in doing real service work—not just swapping parts.

If you want simple, repetitive calls—this isn’t it.
If you want challenging systems, respected work, and strong pay—you’ll want to keep reading.

What You’ll Actually Do

You’ll be trusted with complex residential and light commercial HVAC systems, including:

  • Boilers (gas, electric, high-efficiency)
  • Geothermal / ground-source systems (closed-loop, open-loop, vertical and horizontal)
  • Air conditioning systems (split, package, high-efficiency, inverter-driven/variable speed)
  • Heat pumps (standard, cold-climate, inverter-driven)
  • Ductless mini-split and multi-zone systems
  • Air handlers and airflow optimization
  • VAV (Variable Air Volume) systems and zoning controls
  • ERVs, HRVs, and full IAQ systems
  • Advanced communicating systems and smart controls

And the work doesn’t stop at equipment:

  • Advanced electrical diagnostics (low & high voltage)
  • Refrigeration cycle troubleshooting
  • Inverter boards, ECM motors, and variable-speed systems
  • Controls and communicating system diagnostics

You’ll also:

  • Communicate clearly with homeowners
  • Help elevate the team through mentorship and shared knowledge
  • Take ownership of difficult, high-expectation service calls

If you’ve only worked on one type of system, this probably isn’t the right fit.

What This Role Gives You

  • Up to $100,000/year or ~$50/hr
  • Year-round, consistent work
  • Organized dispatch
  • Well-stocked trucks and strong parts access
  • Supportive, skilled team environment
  • No corporate nonsense, no micromanaging

Additional Benefits Over Time

  • Paid Time Off (eligibility after 90 days)
  • Paid holidays (eligibility begins after 6 months)
  • Paid vacation after 1 year
  • Performance-based pay increases
  • Ongoing training and skill development
  • Long-term advancement opportunities

What We’re Looking For

  • 5+ years HVAC service experience (or equivalent real-world skill)
  • Strong diagnostic ability across electrical, airflow, and refrigeration systems
  • Proven experience working across multiple system types
  • Hydronic / boiler expertise
  • Experience with RTUs, Chillers, Large Commercial Boilers and Air Handlers
  • Variable-speed / inverter-driven equipment experience
  • Airflow balancing, static pressure analysis, duct design knowledge
  • Ability to read wiring diagrams and schematics fluently
  • Confidence handling complex, unresolved service issues
  • Professional, accountable, and takes ownership
  • Comfortable mentoring or supporting other technicians
  • Experience with communicating systems and advanced controls

Preferred Experience (Strongly Valued)

  • EPA Universal Certification
  • Geothermal system troubleshooting and optimization
  • Building automation or advanced control systems (BAS)
  • ERV/HRV and IAQ system design and diagnostics
  • Load calculations and system design principles

Growth & Future Opportunities

  • Step into a “go-to senior tech” role within the company
  • Opportunity to train and mentor junior technicians
  • Exposure to more advanced systems and specialty projects
  • Input on tools, processes, and service improvements
  • Opportunity to assist with system design and planning

If you take pride in being the technician others rely on for difficult problems, you’ll fit well here.
